FC Barcelona has teamed up with Nike and the Kobe Bryant brand to launch a new 2025-26 away kit inspired by the late NBA icon's relentless dedication. In lieu of the classic Nike swoosh, the jersey features Kobe Bryant's Sheath logo, snakeskin texture, and Lakers inspired purple, gold, and black colorways as a symbolic tribute to his legacy and shared ethos of excellence.

Kobe meets Barça

Barcelona's new jersey debuts in pale team gold with persian violet and black accents, an explicit nod to Bryant's Lakers roots. Most notably, the Kobe Sheath logo replaces the traditional swoosh, making this the first football kit in history to feature the emblematic Kobe brand symbol. The "snakeskin" jacquard pattern is woven throughout the fabric and flashlighted on the club crest, visuallly referencing Bryant's Black Mamba persona.

The kit launch video, titled "Mamba Rondo", underscores this visual message by featuuring Barcelona stars and academy talents, including Alejandro Balde, Alexia Putellas, Gavi, and Salma Paralluelo, participating in the rondo drill. This training excercise serves as a metaphor for Kobe's ceaseless pursuit of perfection, deepluy rooted in Barça's own possession-based philosophy.

A three-year cultural collaboration

This away kit is the flagship piece of a broader three-year collaboration between FC Barcelona and the Bryant brand. The collection includes co-branded sneakers (such as Kobe 4 Protro and Air Force 1 Potro), slides, lifestyle apparel, a pre-match shirt, and basketball gear, reinforcing the universal appeal of "Mamba Mentality".

Avilable globally starting July 29 at Nike.com, the Barça Official Store, and select retailers, the full launch is set for match bit in Seoul on July 31, when the first team debuts the kit during a preseason tour match.
