Barcelona fans lash out at one of their stars after Girona defeat

Barcelona's 2-1 defeat against Girona has left fans furious. The team struggled to find rhythm in both attack and defense, but supporters singled out striker Ferran Torres, insisting he should not even be on the pitch.

The match reflected Barcelona's recent struggles: dominating possession and creating numerous chances, yet failing to convert. Their once-celebrated tiki-taka style no longer unsettles opponents.

After a quiet first half, Pau Cubarsí put Barça ahead in the 59th minute. But Thomas Lemar equalized in the 62nd, and Fran Beltrán sealed Girona's victory with a goal in the 86th minute.

Following the loss, coach Hansi Flick admitted:

We were very bad, especially in defense. Girona deserved the win.

In his post-match interview, Garcia pointed out that an uncalled foul on Jules Kounde led directly to Girona's second goal.

Still, he emphasized broader defensive issues: "We are conceding way too many chances. My saves are worthless if we keep letting opponents through so easily."

Garcia concluded bluntly: "We had plenty of people in front. We should have cut the attacks before they advance so much. They were cutting through our defence so easily."
