Lamisha Musonda, a former Chelsea player who retired in 2020, shocked the football world with a harsh story on social media where he claimed to be suffering from a serious illness.
Although without giving exact details of what kind of disease it is, the former footballer's story is chilling. Apparently, the disease has no cure and Musonda admitted that, because of this and although he is still fighting, he has "only a few days to live".

"Realising that I only have a few days left, I also realise that I had a lot of people by my side and I will always cherish the memories. Life is tough, but it is magnificent. Life is full of ups and downs, and no one can really comprehend the pain that one feels. The last two years have been particularly difficult and challenging for me. It is with great sadness that I announce that I am struggling to regain my health," Musonda wrote on his Instagram account.
The former footballer, who played in Spain for Llagostera and Palamos, retired in 2020 after also playing for Anderlecht, from where he joined Chelsea. His brother Charly also played for Chelsea and in LaLiga for Real Betis and Levante.
Musonda added in his statement: "This is the reason why I have been absent from social media. I must face reality: my health is critical and I am now fighting to survive. Your help and prayers will be of great help at this time. My family and I are struggling, and I will not give up until my last breath. I was fortunate to have a beautiful childhood and still have much to offer. But there are so many wonderful people I would have loved to thank in person, and the fact that I may not have the opportunity saddens me deeply."
