Mbappe overtakes Haaland and 'catches' Kane in the race for the Golden Boot

Kylian Mbappe has already caught up with Harry Kane at the top of the Golden Boot rankings for the current season. The Frenchman's brace at the Estadio de la Ceramica last Saturday put him on 21 goals, the same number as the Bayern Munich and England international

Mbappe's performance against Villarreal saw him overtake Erling Haaland in the rankings, as the Norwegian did not play in City's victory over Wolves. Kane, for his part, also failed to score in Bayern's unexpected defeat against Augsburg.
