Harry Kane has set alarm bells ringing in Munich six days before the match against Real Madrid. The Bayern Munich and England star did not play in the second friendly against Japan last night after picking up a knock in training, according to the English FA. This year he has only been injured for four days with Bayern, his best season in this respect since 2020.

Kane, who also did not play last Friday in the friendly against Uruguay, which ended in a 1-1 draw, suffered "a minor problem" apparently in one foot, in the training prior to the duel against Japan. For safety reasons, according to Tuchel, he did not count on the Bayern striker, who is due to undergo medical tests today on his return to the Bavarian capital.

"It's a minor injury, practically for no apparent reason. He had to leave training yesterday after 15 minutes. They are evaluating him further," said Tuchel.

Tuchel himself acknowledged that without Kane it is not the same, neither England nor Bayern: "Well, why would Argentina not depend on Messi or Portugal on Cristiano Ronaldo? It's totally normal. Without Harry Kane, we don't pose the same threat. Bayern Munich, without Harry Kane, does not pose the same threat. No team in the world poses the same threat."

Kane is the great hope of the German team, who have lost their last three Champions League clashes with Madrid. 48 goals, 10 of them in the top competition, speak for themselves. Bayern Munich will face Real Madrid on Tuesday, April 7 in the first leg of the quarter-finals of Europe's top competition.
